2022 Houston Corporate Counsel Awards Nominations are Open

Over the past four years, ACC Houston and The Texas Lawbook have revamped the Houston Corporate Counsel Awards to make them more substantive and focusing on the great legal work of our business law community.

The nominations deadline has been extended through Friday, March 3.

The Texas Lawbook and ACC Houston have put together a terrific group of judges to review the submissions. The finalists for each category will be announced in March and April. The awards ceremony will take place Thursday, May 4, 2023 at the Four Seasons.

Here are the categories:

Lifetime Achievement
Transaction of the Year
Senior Corporate Counsel of the Year (Large, Medium & Small/Solo Departments)
Achievement in Pro Bono and Public Service
Legal Innovation
Business Litigation of the Year
Achievement in Diversity and Inclusion
General Counsel of the Year (Large, Medium & Small/Solo Departments)
Creative Partnership
Rookie of the Year

The rules for nomination are simple: the corporate counsel being nominated must reside and work in the Houston area and the work for which they are being honored must have occurred in 2022.

Detailed descriptions of each category appear as you begin the questionnaire.

Anyone can make a nomination, including outside counsel, in-house colleagues, or service providers. However, nominations by law firms MUST be submitted by a lawyer at the firm.

Insider Tip: The more information you provide in your submission about the lawyers and legal departments being nominated and the successes they've achieved, the more likely it is that they will be selected as finalists.

Note: Information provided in the submission will be used in the articles by The Texas Lawbook.
