Theme: STEM +: Mapping the Road Forward in our Classrooms, Schools and Districts

STEM Conference 2022, Tuesday, October 4th at University of Cincinnati Tangeman Center
As always, we are looking for proposals that showcase exemplary STEM + education in action, and are unique to your classroom, school and district.  Although we seek new presentations each year, we know that some programs are constants in the STEM + education world such as Makerspace and Robotics. We continue to welcome proposals with new insights and strategies from those areas of STEM+. We also understand that this instructional year was one of constant change and adaptation. As educators you continue to face many challenges as we transition through the pandemic. Our intention is to feature exemplary presentations, at STEM Conference 2022, that will potentially impact your classroom, school, and/or district’s progress and evolution in STEM + education.  That is what our STEM Conference 2022 theme reflects:  STEM +:  Mapping the Road Forward in our Classrooms, Schools, and Districts.

Please consider submitting one of these 2 categories of proposals:
Category 1STEM + Instructional Programs and Strategies the effective tried and true programs and/or strategies that you have used over the last year that will encourage attendees to integrate these ideas into their own best practices.
Category 2- STEM+ Activities, Labs, or Projects - Interactive Workshops
that will engage our conference attendees in labs, projects, or activities that you've conducted with your own students. (More details are provided below.)

STEM +, Instructional Programs and Strategies (60 minutes - including 10 minutes for Q&A and evaluations)
Share with us the STEM + programs or strategies that you have recently implemented effectively, especially during the pandemic. In particular, we are seeking examples  which involved teaming with the Language Arts, Social Studies, Technology, or Art teachers and/or have utilized Google docs or Google Hangout for student collaboration. Identify how these programs or strategies successfully included other disciplines and also meet multiple learning objectives.

STEM+ Activities, Labs or Projects - Interactive Workshops (60 minutes - including 10 minutes for Q&A and evaluations)
We are looking for very creative Interactive Workshops STEM + presentations from your classroom such as labs, projects, or other tried and true activities that exemplify student collaboration and allow for some level of interaction among conference participants. We encourage proposals that focus on student interaction and could include team teaching with other disciplines and, of course, involve effective STEM + pedagogies such as PBL, CBL, Phenomena, Makerspace, Coding, Robotics, EDP, and/or STEM+H. Optimally, you can show that multiple learning objectives have been met.

The deadline for submitting a proposal has been extended until midnight Sunday, August 7th, 2022.
