Reframing Autism Engagement List Signup Form

Looking for opportunities to share your lived experience or be part of Autism research?

Reframing Autism is a small but dedicated part-time team of Autistic people in Australia. We are an Autistic-led charity, reframing the understanding of Autism through education, resources and research, underpinned by our lived experience as Autistics.

Sometimes this involves engaging with our community, either directly to help us produce resources, or as part of consulting and research support work we do with the aim of ensuring nothing about us without us. The purpose of this list is to allow community members to be considered for any engagement opportunities relevant to their experience.

This may include things like research participant requests, advisory groups, focus groups for specific topics (e.g. Autistic young people looking for work or parents of an Autistic child who has attended daycare) and journalists looking for people with a particular kind of experience.

This form replaces our previous opportunities list. We have updated the form to better reflect the kinds of engagement opportunities we have been able to offer in recent years and to help us link people with what might be relevant to them.
Please note the following:

  • Completing this survey will not sign you up to our regular mailing list - if you wish to do this you can do so from our website homepage.
  • The information you provide on this form will only by accessed by Reframing Autism staff and used to match you with relevant opportunities. We will not share your details with other organisations, but if you are interested in an opportunity that has been shared we may be able to help connect you.
  • In order to ensure people do not receive frequent requests which aren't relevant to them we do ask for some optional demographic information, such as where you live and about other intersectional identities you may have. Most of these questions are of course optional, but please be aware that more specific requests will generally only be shared with those who have indicated relevant connections and experiences.
  • As a small organisation, we are unable to provide any personalised response following completion of this form and will only be in touch if and when a relevant engagement opportunity arises to share.
  • This form is only open to individuals aged 18 and over; however parents are able to sign up and mention in an optional question any children who may also be interested in engagement opportunities.
  • We do not use this form to recruit for workshop presenters or employment roles. We only rarely have employment opportunities available, but any such opportunities would be advertised on our website rather than recruited directly from responses to this form. We also have a separate volunteer form for anyone interested in volunteering with us.
  • Given our organisation is based in Australia, most of the engagement opportunities we share are for that audience.
