Reframing Autism Volunteer Interest Form

Looking to support Reframing Autism on a voluntary basis?

Reframing Autism is a small but dedicated part-time team of Autistic people in Australia. We are an Autistic-led charity, reframing the understanding of Autism through education, resources and research, underpinned by our lived experience as Autistics.

This form is for anyone looking to express interest in volunteering with us.

At Reframing Autism we believe in paying Autistic people for their skills and lived experience expertise. Volunteering will only be considered where it will be mutually beneficial and not cause hardship - for example study placements (which institutions expect to be voluntary) or professional volunteering.
Please note the following:
  • The information you provide on this form will only by accessed by Reframing Autism staff. We will not share your details with other organisations except by your request.
  • Reframing Autism does not provide any clinical or educational services and consequently cannot provide any clinical placements or experience. We also do not offer services related to support work or support coordination and do not run peer groups.
  • This form is not checked every day, we may be not always be able to provide a personalised response following completion of this form but will be in touch if we have an opportunity that might be relevant to you.
  • This form is only open to individuals aged 18 and over - unfortunately with a team of part-time staff we are not able to provide work experience placements for secondary students.
  • Reframing Autism is a fully remote organisation and does not have physical office premises. Any opportunities would need to be conducted remotely in a "work from home" style arrangement.
  • We are only able to accept volunteers based in Australia and will require a Working With Children's Check to be completed for any community-facing roles.
