Registrations are now open for the Semester 1, 2018 International Host Program.
International Student Services are taking expressions of interest from current students (both domestic and international) who would like to become International Hosts during the International Check-in and Orientation which runs from 19 February to 2 March, 2018.
International Student Hosts help to create a vibrant host program that supports newly arrived international students and introduces them to new people, La Trobe University and the city of Melbourne.
It is a great way to make new friends, gain cross-cultural skills and connections, and be recognised for your contribution to the University. Both domestic and international students are encouraged to apply.
Selection Criteria
- You must be a currently enrolled student, and have already completed at least 1 semester of studies at La Trobe University
- You must be available for the compulsory Host Training Day (tbc week commencing 29 January 2018)
- You must attend task briefing once you have been assigned a role: (tbc, week commencing 5 Feb 2018)
- You must be available for minimum of 5 shifts during the International Check-in and Orientation which runs from 19 February to 2 March, 2018. (note - you are not expected to be on duty every day).

We have a limited number of spaces available due to late cancellations, so will contact you by email to advise if your application is sucessful.
