The Arts Queensland Val Vallis Award for an unpublished poem recognises and celebrates the work of Australian poets.

QWC is proud to partner with Westerly to offer a publication opportunity to the Winner and Runner-up of the Prize.

Submit an unpublished poem up to 80 lines in length.

Entries open: Monday 3 August – Tuesday 8 September 2026

  • $20 member/concession entry fee
