The Renters Survey is conducted every three to four years, so that we can examine the challenges faced by those who are renting in our communities.

This year, the Renters Survey will also provide valuable information about houselessness.  Houselessness is defined as living situations where people with no other options to acquire safe and secure housing are without shelter, in temporary accommodation, sharing accommodation with a household or living in uninhabitable housing (Stats NZ, 2015 definition of homelessness).  This includes living in cars, vans, tents, hostels, and “couch surfing”.

By taking part, you will be contributing vital information that will assist us in making choices about affordable housing solutions that will better serve our communities' needs.  It also provides QLCHT with evidence of need when seeking funding and financing support from various stakeholders, including Government, Council and other organisations.
The survey is anonymised, and no personal identifying information will be used in the findings. The survey will take around 10 minutes to complete.

In appreciation of your time to complete, you can go into the draw to win one of eight $150 Prezzy Cards.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete this survey and we look forward to receiving your feedback.
