Upper Michigan Energy Resources (UMERC) was formed in 2017 to serve energy customers in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. UMERC is preparing to file with the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC) a required distribution system plan (DSP), which will address how UMERC will best evaluate necessary investments to its distribution system. The MPSC has established four overarching electric distribution system objectives for distribution planning: safety, reliability and resiliency, cost-effectiveness and affordability, and accessibility. Part of this process includes seeking feedback from customers and stakeholders on what your input, ideas or potential solutions may include.
