Women's Only Swimming

Greater Shepparton City Council would like to hear from members of our community about creating a Women’s Only Swimming program at Council's Aquatic Facilities.

'This Girl Can - Victoria' is all about empowering women across the state to get active and overcome feelings of judgement.

From August 2018 - June 2020 Council was successful in obtaining a VicHealth grant to promote the 'This Girl Can - Victoria' campaign to women in our community, and encourage women to get involved in physical activity opportunities.

One of the many physical activity opportunities delivered during this period included Women's Only Swimming at Aquamoves. Women's Only Swimming was held on a monthly basis at Aquamoves between 5.30pm - 8.30pm.

The cost to attend Aquamoves for Women's Only Swimming:
Adult: $6.50
Child: $4.30
Swim/Spa/Sauna: $8.50
Group Swim: $17.50 (2 adults and 3 children)

Boys under the age of five were permitted access. Whilst Women’s Only Swimming sessions are being held, access to Aquamoves gym and group fitness is closed.

Council would like to hear from you as to how we can continue to encourage women of all ages and abilities to try Council’s Aquatic Facilities all in a comfortable and welcoming environment supported by all female staff:

Aquamoves:
- Indoor aquatics: 25m indoor lap pool, leisure pool, hydrotherapy pool, spa and dry sauna
- Outdoor aquatics: 50m pool and splash park

Rural Outdoor Pools are located in Mooroopna, Merrigum, Tatura and Murchison.
