PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
     The MPSA organizes a series of sessions at the conference that discuss aspects of the academic profession. Each session will have 4-6 speakers. In February one of the speakers will also be asked to serve as chair. The chair will help divide the broader topics so each panelist can discuss a specific niche without worrying about overlap.     
     Panelists will be asked to provide a pre-recorded SlideCast though that is optional. Panelists also will be asked to provide a brief bio and three items for an annotated bibliography on the topics. 
     There are no written papers and participation on a professional development session does NOT count against the limit of being on two sessions at the conference. The conference is virtual, and the sessions will be recorded for future release, though only with the permission of the presenters.

COMMITTEES 
     The MPSA has a wide range of committees that involve about 150 professional/faculty members. Please volunteer to serve on one; no one will be asked to serve on more than one committee.
