About the CIPM
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM) was established in 1968 and is the Nigeria’s regulatory body for Human Resource Management (HRM) practice, empowered by Act 58 of 1992. Our Vision is to be the Institute of Choice for People Management.

We have a specific mandate to:
(i) Regulate, monitor, and control the Human Resource profession in all its ramifications;
(ii) Determine the standards of knowledge and skills to be attained by persons seeking to become registered as Human Resource Practitioners, and to ensure continued alignment of the standards with best practice from time to time;
(iii) Provide support for the continued professional development of people management practitioners.
