We're looking for a new safety "ambassadog" to star in our safe digging campaign, and help us share an important safety message: Doggone it! Call 811 before you dig.
Digging without knowing the approximate location of underground utilities can result in serious injuries, service disruptions and costly repairs when natural gas, electric, communications, water and sewer lines are damaged. Before digging, customers should call 811 at least 48 hours in advance. A service technician will come to each home at no charge to mark buried utilities on the property.

Fill out the contest entry form and submit up to two photos of your dog in a spot where they dig. Include a photo of your dog digging, if you have one. Contest entries can be submitted now through 5 p.m. Friday, July 2.
  • One contest entry per customer
  • Must be an active Peoples Gas customer
  • Any foster dog parents agree that they have permission from the fostering organization to enter their dog in the "Doggone it!" contest
  • Photo quality must be at least 150 dpi

We’ll narrow down the entries to a list of "top dog" finalists for a public vote.

The winning dog will be announced in early August. If your pet becomes our next safety ambassadog, the photos you submit may be used in promotional and advertising materials for Peoples Gas, and by media outlets.

The winning dog will also receive a gift card from Kriser's Natural Pet.
