2017 Partnership for America's Children Executive Directors Retreat Registration
Thank you for registering for the 2017 Partnership for America's Children Executive Director Retreat, to be held at the Bethesda DoubleTree, 8210 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland. Bethesda is just outside of Washington, DC, and the hotel is close to the Metro red line, which leads to Capitol Hill. We chose this location to facilitate meetings with Congressional delegations while you’re in town. The hotel is 35 minutes from National Airport, 40 minutes from Dulles, and 45 minutes from BWI.
The KIDS COUNT Retreat will also be held at the same hotel one day earlier. If you are registering for both the Partnership Retreat and the KIDS COUNT retreat, you can do so using this survey. To register for ONLY the KIDS COUNT Retreat, please complete the registration survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/KIDSCOUNTRetreatRegistration.
Please complete the following registration survey BY WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 9. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Kilbourne, skilbourne@4mericaschildren.org.

Arrival and Departure Information
If you are attending the KIDS COUNT Retreat, please plan to arrive Tuesday evening, September 12, so you are ready to start on Wednesday morning. If you are attending only the Partnership ED Retreat, please plan to arrive during the day on Wednesday, September 13. The Partnership ED Retreat will kick off at 5:30 pm, Wednesday evening, with a reception and dinner for all EDs and Senior Staff from Partnership member organizations, and will conclude with a boxed lunch on Friday, September 15.
Travel and Hotel Expenses
Please make your own travel arrangements (at the most economical rates, to hold down our costs and allow Partnership resources to be available for other activities and work). If you have already booked your flights, please input that information in the survey below. Otherwise, please email your flight info to Susan when you have it.
Following the Retreat, the Partnership will reimburse travel expenses (original receipts required) for all member EDs who have paid their dues. The Partnership will also cover the cost of your hotel room for September 13 and 14. Your room will be included on the master bill and your reservation will be handled by the Partnership, using the information you provide through this survey. You will receive an email with your hotel confirmation number closer to the retreat. When you arrive at the hotel, you will be asked to provide a credit card for incidentals, which will be your responsibility.
If your airfare will be more than $550, or if you need to arrive early or stay late and will require an extra night in the hotel, please check with Susan before purchasing your tickets.
The ED Retreat will include:
- A reception and dinner Wednesday evening
- Breakfast, morning break, lunch, afternoon break, and a reception on Thursday
- Breakfast, morning break, and a boxed lunch on Friday
- All meeting materials
