RETAIL AND FAST FOOD WORKERS DESERVE FREE AND SAFE PARKING
Your union, the SDA is taking a stand against the rising fees being charged to members who work in retail and fast food in large shopping centres. Members are being charged between $3 and $7.50 a day just to park their cars. In many cases, there are no alternatives such as public transport, or staff finish too late to feel safe.
We are calling for shopping centres to provide free and safe parking to all staff. Paid parking is a cost our members cannot afford and do not deserve. It is an unfair tax on workers.
