ABCGN 2026 Certification Scholarship

Scholarship Information

The American Board of Certification for Gastroenterology Nurses (ABCGN) Certification Scholarship has been established to financially assist candidates applying for the CGRN Exam. ABCGN will award 2 scholarships per year that will cover the exam fee.

Applicants must be prepared to sit for the CGRN exam in either the spring or fall of 2026. Scholarship award cannot be transferred to another certification cycle.

Eligibility:

The candidate must be currently working in the field of gastroenterology and have an interest in and commitment to gastroenterology nursing.
Support the goals and philosophy of ABCGN.
Must have current RN license.
Recipient must meet the CGRN exam eligibility prior to January 1, 2026 for the spring 2026 exam or by June 1, 2026 for the fall 2026 exam.

Application Process:

Applications will be open from November 1, 2025 - December 31, 2025. Scholarships will be awarded in February 2026. If you are intending to sit for your exam in May of 2026, please do not pay any application fees until after you have been contacted by ABCGN Headquarters staff.
