PDST Misneach Programme

The Misneach programme is a comprehensive programme of induction for newly appointed school principals. PDST coordinates and delivers the professional learning days whilst the CSL coordinates the mentoring component of the programme.

There are two sections to the following application. The first section requests your details for the overall programme whilst the second section specifically requests details which will facilitate matching you with a CSL trained Mentor. Both sections are compulsory to ensure participation in the 2021-2023 Misneach Programme.

The programme consists of five two day learning events, spanning two academic years, wherein the experienced PDST Leadership Team will facilitate and coordinate supported learning opportunities for NAPs. Many relevant topics are explored and discussed with valuable opportunities provided to voice concerns, seek reassurance and share experiences with other newly appointed principals.

The CSL team will provide you with a formally trained mentor to work with you on a one to one basis for your first year in the role of principal. This mentoring relationship will begin in September 2021 and end in June 2022.

In September 2021, NAPD will offer a group mentoring support for your second year in the role which will end in May/June 2022.
