Selection of Bursary students will be based on the capability and attributes of students, and alignment to our community’s mission to develop a capable, innovative, passionate and diverse and inclusive technical and engineering workforce for the power sector.

The selection committees (composed of industry professionals from API Member Companies) look forward to reviewing the applications. We will be in contact towards the end of June (or early July) to confirm the outcomes for all.

If successful, you must:
  1. Not accept other scholarships or bursaries whilst holding an API bursary (e.g. bonded scholarships or individual company scholarships). However, you will not be precluded from accepting merit awards such as university or industry prizes that carry no obligation with respect to vacation employment or professional employment upon graduation.
  2. Complete at least one placement (usually 12 weeks over summer break) with an API Member company during your time as a bursary holder (usually in years 2 or 3).
