Information about PERL and the application process

To be eligible for a funded locum placement through the PERL scheme, your practice will have been directly affected by the current Delta outbreak. This may be through being in a cluster area or due to the impact of having to substantially change the way are you are operating with setting up testing or vaccination clinics or the impact on your staff numbers.

All applications will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, the support will predominantly be in the form of funding for a locum doctor, nurse practitioner, or other staff member for up to 2 weeks. It can also include the costs of their accommodation and travel.

All applications will be reviewed by an Application Assessment Panel.
