If you are interested in holding a Training, Workshop, or Course, please complete this form.  The deadline for submissions which require pre-registration and/or pre-requisites was May 1, 2017.  NOTE: if you'd like to organize a Training, Workshop, or Course that will be available as a walk-in session and doesn't need pre-requisites or pre-registration, then you can still submit proposals until July 1, 2017.

The number of trainings, workshops, and courses is limited and submissions will be evaluated for inclusion based on likely degree of interest, uniqueness of topic, and whether it fits in the allowed times at the Fire Congress. AFE may contact proposers with similar topics or themes to determine if those proposals can be merged.  Organizers are not restricted to the theme of the Fire Congress, nor the main topics listed on the Fire Congress webpage, but we encourage such proposals. We are very interested in international proposals.

Trainings, Workshops, and Courses will be held during the afternoons on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and/or Friday. If you require two afternoons, that will be considered as space/interest allows. Organizers are allowed to have talks as long or short as they wish within the time allotted, but must honor the afternoon break of 25-30 minutes.  Rooms will be configured in a classroom style with chairs behind tables, with rooms holding 20-40 participants.  If you want your session to be set in roundtables, please do not complete this form, but instead complete a "Fire Circles" form.

The coordinator will notify you of acceptance by June 15, 2017.  Workshop/Course instructors must register for the conference; registration costs will not be reimbursed by the conference.  If the workshop/course is not accepted, individual speakers are encouraged to submit an individual abstract for general consideration as oral or poster presentations.
