Description: NurseThink, in partnership with the OADN Foundation, provides funding to support the continuing education of associate degree nursing educators. The NurseThink Nurse Educator Scholarship was established to support the academic progression of an OADN member who is actively pursuing their advanced degree and/or plans to be a faculty member in a school of nursing. The NurseThink Nurse Educator Scholarship is presented annually in the amount of $1,000.

The recipient will be recognized at the 2024 OADN Annual Convention, Bridging the Past to Build the Future, at the Marriott Water Street in Tampa, Florida October 31 - November 2, 2024.

Requirements: The nominee must meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in a graduate nursing education program and/or planning to be a faculty member in school of nursing.
  • Hold a membership in OADN as an individual or through a program.
  • Have a plan to be or become a faculty member in a school of nursing.

Instructions: To apply for consideration of the NurseThink Nurse Educator Scholarship, individuals must submit the following materials on or before the application deadline of June 1, 2024:

  • Letter of Interest: A letter, not to exceed 1000 words, attesting that you meet the relevant criteria for consideration.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): Please include a current CV (see file upload instructions).

  • Timeline Plan: A written plan with timeline of your intention to become a faculty member along with academic progression goals (e.g., coursework plan).

  • Applicant Headshot: A current headshot photo (see file upload instructions) for marketing and/or ceremonial use only. OADN Foundation blinds the candidate headshot information to eliminate possible unconscious bias in the review process. In drafting your candidate statements, please note that your headshot will not be shared with reviewers. Only your application packet narrative and supporting documents will be accessible to reviewers.
