The Port Authority / Harbor Management Commission is seeking your input to help set priorities for managing New London Harbor in the Year 2022 and to help us prepare the New London Harbor Management Plan which will set the city's policies for safe and beneficial use of the harbor and conservation of our natural coastal resources. The Harbor Management Plan will be a separate but complementary document to the New London Plan of Conservation and Development.
In coordination with state and federal agencies, the Commission has an important responsibility for managing the use and conservation of New London Harbor and implementing the Harbor Management Plan to be adopted by the City Council following public review.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and feel free, at the end of the survey, to write down any additional comments you may have. Your response is greatly appreciated. We will announce a public meeting to be held in early Summer to present the results of the survey, hear your comments, and talk about the Harbor Management Plan.
Please be aware that the Commission meets on the second Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, 181 State Street. Everyone with an interest in the harbor is invited to attend and express their comments or suggestions.
