This consultation seeks your input on Action 1 of the New Zealand Health Research Strategy, to identify health research priorities for government investment.

Input is being sought on:
  • Your comments or concerns about the overall framework.
  • Your specific suggestions for health research priorities.
  • Each of the five draft Strategic Investment Areas proposed in the consultation document. These will form the framework for national health research priorities.
The proposed Strategic Investment Area you are being asked to comment on will appear above each question for you to refer to. Questions with an asterisk require an answer before moving on to the next question. As a submitter you are welcome to provide as much or little feedback as you want.

The submission process is expected to take 30 to 60 minutes. It is recommended that you prepare your responses in advance, especially if you are preparing a group submission.

Please read the consultation document before providing feedback by clicking here.

The consultation document outlines why national health research priorities are being set, who the health research priorities are for, how they will be funded, and the process for setting them. A full list of the consultation questions is provided in the consultation document.

We welcome widespread participation in this consultation process but the choice to take part or not is entirely yours.  Even if you decide to participate, you can change your mind at any time.
