Purpose & parameters of an AG
The purpose of an AG is to provide specialist advice to the Board. An AG can provide knowledge, insights, and feedback to inform board decisions. We want to know if you support setting up an AG.

Question Title

* 6. Do you agree that the Board should set up an AG to provide the Board with advice?

Question Title

* 7. Tell us your views.

The Board is proposing that the AG would operate within specific parameters, as set out in the accompanying Consultation Document.

It should be noted that any advice provided by the AG would not be binding on the Board and that the AG would not receive any NZBB funding.

Question Title

* 8. What are your views on the proposed parameters?

AG options
The Board has identified four potential operating structures for an AG. Each of the four options, and further details about each option, are set out in the accompanying Consultation Document.
Note: There is no NZBB funding for any of the four options and AG members will not receive honorariums.

Question Title

* 9. Rank the options in order of your preference, with 1 being your most preferred option and 4 being the least preferred option. If you disagree with an option, please select 'disagree' against that option.

Question Title

* 10. Please tell us about your reasons for your rankings.

Selecting or electing beekeeper representatives
Two of the options require either a beekeeper nomination process (Option C) or an election process (Option D). We're interested to hear your ideas about how a nomination or election process could be run. A factor to consider is balancing regional, hobbyist, and commercial representation.

Question Title

* 11. Tell us your ideas for setting up a process to nominate or elect beekeeper representatives to an AG.

Anything else you would like us to know?

Question Title
