The Garvan Institute of Medical Research is one of Australia's premier medical research institutes. Founded in 1963, we have over 700 scientists & clinicians working across 40 laboratories researching over 70 diseases that impact our society today including; multiple Cancers, Osteoporosis, Diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, various Autoimmune and immune deficiency diseases, all underpinned by our Genomics research.
Our mission is to harness all the information encoded in our genome to better diagnose, treat, predict and prevent disease. With your help, it’s within reach.
