Information on Call for Proposals - 2019 NextLevelED Conference

We invite you to submit a session/workshop proposal for the 2019 NextLevelED Conference, to be held January 16-17, 2019 at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Jose, 2050 Gateway Pl, San Jose, California 95110.

Conference Goals:

-To offer attendees hands on sessions, networking opportunities and direct contact with technical companies in order for them to attain the skills necessary to create clear pathways to employment and/or further education.

-To provide an opportunity for IT faculty, staff, administrators, students and current workforce to learn about technology education and how/what can be implemented in their classrooms, campuses, or for individual use.

-To identify technology-focused career options and requirements to successfully enter/advance into those career paths.

Who Should Submit?

-Faculty, Staff and Administrators of the college system currently engaged in technology education programs that promote skill requirements/certification programs/internship/apprenticeship opportunities that help students and current workforce attain or advance employment and can share how to implement such programs at other colleges and/or can offer current students/employees an educational pathway to tech career employment/advancement.

-Colleges interested in increasing their institution’s transfer population by sharing their degree program requirements with faculty and students.

-Business and Industry representatives that can share tech needs desired in new hires or to promote from within and how to attain those skills through education, certifications, internships, apprenticeships, etc.

Please note:

-Deadline for submissions is September 28, 2018.
-Notifications will be sent starting in October 2018.
-Non-commercial presentations only please.
-No more than 4 presenters per submission.
-Presentation time slots fill quickly; early submission is recommended.
-Proposal must be submitted electronically.

Once submitted, proposal receipt confirmation will be sent to the primary presenter’s email address within a week.

Regarding Conference Registration:
- NextLevelED is pleased to offer Early Bird pricing for presenters. This pricing will be available regardless of the date the presenter registers for the conference.  Please do not register for the conference until you have been approved as a presenter.  We will send your registration link upon approval of your session.
