Help Plan the New Britain Public Library Makerspace

New Britain Public Library is looking to create a new library Makerspace. Libraries continue to evolve to meet community needs, and your input is invaluable as we assess how to best meet the current and future needs of library users, specifically for this survey in how that relates to possibly adding a new Makerspace at the library.

Makerspaces in libraries are a way for users to extend learning and creativity into the 21st century. Libraries help make access to materials and resources easy and free for everyone and Makerspaces are a new way for libraries to meet the community's need to explore our world. Makerspaces come in all shapes and sizes and we at the New Britain Public Library are looking to see what form a Makerspace might take on here at the library to better serve our community.

This survey is the first step in the process to gather community input as we prepare to design that space. The brief survey asks you to rank the importance of different physical space and service options that might be a part of a new Library Makerspace. Thank you in advance for your time and support. We truly appreciate it.
