Nominate an outstanding Social Worker for an NASW-MN award!

Deadline for Nominations: Monday, August 17 at 11:59 p.m.
The Minnesota Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-MN) annually selects members who have made significant contributions to the social work profession in Minnesota. Awards are presented to winners at the NASW-MN Annual Conference. This year’s conference, “The Road We’re On: Honoring Yesterday, Building Tomorrow” takes place live online from September 21-24.
Why nominate someone?
Nominating someone is a great way to provide recognition to a social worker colleague or friend for their valuable contributions to their organization and community. This can be through their attitude, leadership, service to their clients, or anything else that makes this individual stand out. A nomination is also a wonderful way to acknowledge an exemplary employee, co-worker, supervisor, or administrator whom you believe exemplifies what it truly means to be a social worker. These awards allow you to show appreciation for the recipient's dedication to the social work profession. You can nominate more than one individual; all nominees must be a current NASW-MN member.
The following page has descriptions of each Award category, as well as the nominations form. The form must be completed at one time. You will not be able to save it and return to it later.
What information will I need to complete the form?
- Your own name and contact info
- Nominee name
- Contact info for nominee (full address, phone number, e-mail address)
- Paragraph (or two) about how your nominee meets the criteria for the award. You can copy and paste a response from a Word document.
*All award recipients will be invited to attend the conference free of charge on the date of the award presentation.
* Nominator will be contacted if your nominee is the Award recepient. Award presentation details will be shared at that time.
