2023-2028 Consolidated Plan, 2023 Annual Action Plan, and the Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice |
Why is this important?
Montgomery County is undertaking the development of three important planning documents as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order for the county to continue receiving more than $3.5 million in funding next year. These resources finance affordable housing and community development activities for low- and moderate-income residents in Montgomery County.
The Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice involves a review of the county’s housing and housing-related programs and policies to ensure these are administered in a non-discriminatory manner. That is, the county manages its housing and housing-related programs without regard for a person’s race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, or familial status. The Five-Year Consolidated Plan analyzes housing and homeless needs to determine the county’s priority needs for affordable housing and community development benefiting primarily low- and moderate-income residents.
One element of this joint planning process involves outreach to residents, business owners, and community leaders for input on fair housing, affordable housing, economic development, and community development needs across Montgomery County. Please take this 10-minute survey and provide your input.
Your responses are important. Please complete the survey by March 31, 2023. All responses are anonymous.
