About the Milbank Fellows Program

The Milbank Memorial Fund believes that state leaders are the drivers of innovation and improvement in population health. We are committed to equipping and supporting leaders in the executive and legislative branches of state government with the knowledge, leadership capacities, and connections to navigate the complexities of systems and health policy to advance population health. The Milbank Fellows Program is our newest offering to support state health leaders.

Through this program fellows will:

• Gain new knowledge about specific population health issues, interdisciplinary health and human services systems, and evidence-based approaches to improve population health;
• Expand their leadership capacities to articulate and drive forward a population health vision and agenda;
• Create meaningful connections with resources and a network so they can leverage their new knowledge and capacities to take action in their state; and,
• Engage with senior leaders at the Milbank Memorial Fund and their network of state population health experts.

Fellow Selection Process

The Fund will select up to 15 participants for the 2021-2022 Milbank Fellows Program cohort. To express interest in the program, or to suggest someone else from your state, please complete this form. If our selection team determines that the potential candidate would be good fit for the program, we will ask for a resume and an interview with the candidate in mid-July.
