The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS) prepares high-potential Washington students to meet our state’s workforce shortages through a unique public-private partnership that provides financial assistance, career services and student supports to help student achieve success from day one in class to day one on the job. Our program provides funding up to $22,500 to low- and middle-income students pursuing high-demand degrees in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care. WSOS combines private sector investment, backed by state dollars to launch the next generation of STEM and health care leaders in Washington state. The 2019-20 application cycle is open from January 3 – February 28, 2019.

In this session attendees will receive an overview of the scholarship and learn about applicant eligibility. Additionally, they will learn how to support students in submitting a complete and competitive application. Attendees will:
  • Get access to the WSOS Scholarship promotional toolkit
  • Preview the scholarship application portal
  • Learn about the new WSOS application toolkit for students
