1. Online Course Product Developer

This is the first time we’re growing our product development team in 8 years.

We create online video courses to help people master the strategies to live a Rich Life. For example, we have courses on entrepreneurship, Finding a Dream Job, salary negotiation, and improving inner psychology.

Our business philosophy means 98% of our material is free, and we aim for our free material to be better than anyone else’s paid stuff. But for our premium courses, we’re a little bit obsessive:

We routinely collect over 100,000 data points, including extensive research and testing, before ever launching a course
We’ll build, then throw away, entire courses if they don’t meet our success goals
We are extraordinarily selective about who we allow into our courses (e.g., we don’t allow anyone with credit card debt to join our flagship courses, a decision that costs us over $1mm / year)
As a result, our students get results like this.

We have a pipeline of new courses that we want to build, and we’re looking for one person to help us.

You should be highly organized and comfortable with ambiguity. For example, you should know that 90% of the material you create may end up being discarded if testing reveals it doesn’t work — no matter how good it seems!

You should also be very resourceful at research. We’ll teach you our methods, but expect to become an expert in a variety of areas very quickly. That means competitive research, learning domain knowledge, and being able to answer detailed questions about certain industries and areas after doing “deep dive” research.

Finally, you should be able to take massive amounts of information and distill them into a usable structure — including knowing what material is important enough to include, what to discard, and how to organize it for optimum behavioral change. Experience in persuasion and marketing a plus.

You don’t need to have experience designing online courses before. We’ll teach you our proprietary methods.

This is a highly qualitative role. If you’re more comfortable working with certainties and Excel, this is NOT for you.

But if you’re an explorer…someone who’s curious about why we work the way we work…and someone eager to build course material that measurably changes lives, we’d love to talk to you.
