Course Information
VOLUNTEERCONNECT’s BoardConnect program offers specialized training for individuals interested in serving as a member of a nonprofit Board of Trustees. Topics will include board member governance, legal, fiduciary responsibilities, and fundraising. We offer this course to professionals interested in serving on a nonprofit board as well as professsionals that need a refresher course. These courses will prepare the participant to fully engage as a member of a nonprofit Board of Trustees. Participants will then have the option to attend a Meet and Greet Nonprofit Fair to facilitate introductions to a variety of area nonprofits.
Course fee: $400
The training sessions will occur on October 29, November 5, November 12, and November 19. These four evening sessions will run from 6pm-8pm. Dinner will be served. Attendance is recommended at all the training sessions to fully benefit from the program.
The BoardConnect Meet & Greet Nonprofit Fair will take place on December 4th, 6-8pm. This is an optional event for those participating in the BoardConnect program that would like to be placed with a nonprofit.
