Back in 2018, the Forest Economic Partnership (FEP) consulted stakeholders asking them to consider the Forest of Dean's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT). This resulted in the FEP being able to fix on key priorities like Education & Skills, Digital Connectivity, and Transport, themes that then formed our sub-groups. Given the considerable change over the last few years locally, nationally and internationally, the time is right to refresh the SWOT and invite comments once again. The results of this latest work will inform the work of FEP and will provide evidence to support the Forest of Dean District Council’s emerging Sustainable Economy Strategy (SES).
Are there new points we need to consider? Do any need to be amended or removed entirely? What have we got right and what have we got wrong? We want to hear from you.
The SWOT analysis is included throughout the survey, please click here to view it in full. The complete SWOT relates to physical, economic and social elements – those relating to economic impact have been emphasised in bold.
