On the occasion of the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King, we pause to honor a young adult member of our Atlanta Catholic community who has demonstrated great accomplishments in the area of evangelization.
 
This member of our faithful Catholic community will be awarded the 2018 Msgr. Edward B. Branch Young Adult Award, which will be presented at our annual MLK Jr. Mass on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
 
Nominations are now being accepted for laypersons and seminarians who are young adults (ages 18-40), and are of any ethnic background who are distinguished in the ministry of evangelization. There can only be one nomination per parish, mission or Catholic university center.
 
Nominees must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a practicing Catholic
  • Demonstrates consistent and continuous volunteer efforts, and has given personal time and energy to further the goals and objectives of evangelism
  • Engages other youth and/or adults to become part of their Catholic community
