About NCCL and Chapter Delegate Selection

Michigan Academy of Family Physicians (MAFP) accepts applications from active physician members to serve as delegates representing Michigan in each of the five special constituencies (women, minorities, new physicians, international medical graduates, and LGBT physicians/physician allies) at AAFP's National Conference of Constituency Leaders (NCCL).

One Delegate per constituency is appointed by the MAFP Board of Directors from applications received. Delegates are reimbursed for eligible expenses according to the MAFP reimbursement policy and are required to submit a report for reimbursement after the conference.

Eligibility:
  • Delegates must be active physician members of MAFP.
  • Delegates must identify with the special constituency for which they are applying.
  • Delegates are responsible for participating in NCCL-specific business functions throughout the conference. Delegates should plan to attend ALL NCCL sessions and related activities.
