King County’s primary transportation role is to provide Metro Transit service, which includes fixed route bus service (e.g., RapidRide B Line and Route 255), as well as Access Paratransit, and vanpools. Which three priorities from the following transit options would make it easier to get to work, shopping, school or other recreation/social opportunities? Please choose your top three priorities.

Add more frequent transit service to reduce wait times

Improve the safety and cleanliness of bus shelters, transit centers and buses

Build sidewalks to connect more people to their bus stops

Make buses more reliable by reducing late or missed trips

Improve transfers between bus routes to reduce waiting

Provide more flexible services, like Ride2 and Via, that provide individual pickups and connections to fixed route transit

* 9. From heat domes, to poor air quality due to wildfire smoke, to increasing periods of drought, King County residents are experiencing the effects of climate change. In King County, we are simultaneously working to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to a changing climate. What kinds of policies would you support in these areas? More investment in transit so I don’t have to rely on a car to get around

Build more dense neighborhoods so people can live in walkable communities with easy access to work, school, goods and services and transit

More investment in regional trails that connect neighborhoods and employment

Fully fund King County’s plan to electrify all Metro buses by 2035 and all County vehicles as soon as possible

Support building codes to require energy efficiency in buildings to lower their carbon footprint
