The INSPIRE high school summer program was created to give students from backgrounds that have been historically underrepresented in the geosciences hands-on experience learning from scientists in the field. Over the course of two weeks, students will get the chance to perform field work & data collection, earn service credit, and visit Columbia University’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory. Following the two week summer program, our INSPIRE team of scientists is dedicated to giving participating students long-term mentorship and support throughout their scientific and academic careers.
