The National Alliance for Audition Support (NAAS) is a four-year $1.8M project supported by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and the orchestras of America, with the founding partners of League of American Orchestras (the League), New World Symphony, America’s Orchestral Academy (NWS), and The Sphinx Organization (Sphinx). The goal of the program is to diversify America's orchestras by supporting the careers of Black and Latinx orchestral musicians through audition training, mentorship, and financial support for auditions. Fall 2018 will represent the start of the program’s pilot year.

We are reaching out for your help. We are currently designing this program and can only succeed with input from Black and Latinx musicians who are performing/studying an orchestral instrument. We hope you are willing to share your experiences and help us shape the pilot year of the program based on the specific needs we hear from you. This survey, developed in collaboration with the Gateways Music Festival, is an opportunity for us to learn from you and we sincerely appreciate your input. You can also help us to develop this program by sharing this survey with any fellow Black and Latinx orchestral musicians who may have an interest.

This survey will take approximately 5-7 minutes to complete and will close at 11:59pm on Friday, April 6, 2018.
