The Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA) is conducting a survey to accept public comment on any area of the NDA Language Access Plan. This plan will be a tool to help the NDA address the language needs of persons with limited English proficiency as well as individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. The Language Access Plan was developed pursuant to Nevada Senate Bill 318 (SB318) and the federal guidance on Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 2 C.S. § 561 et seq. (Act 172 of 2006).

The NDA is now seeking the public’s input to ensure that we are developing a plan that will help provide meaningful access to our programs and activities for our stakeholders, including persons with limited English proficiency, those who are deaf or hard of hearing and the organizations that represent them. Your input will assist us in continuing to develop approaches to ensure meaningful access that is practical and effective, fiscally responsible, responsive to the particular circumstances of the NDA, and can be readily implemented. The NDA will review public comments to help inform the development and future revisions of the NDA Language Access Plan to better serve Nevadans.

The NDA welcomes your feedback now through September 26th, 2022 by providing written comment through the submission of this survey. Written comment can also be sent via email or mail directly to:
