Welcome and Overview of the Master Planning Process at Lakeridge Health

Lakeridge Health, one of Ontario’s largest community hospitals, is undertaking a comprehensive master planning process to enable us to plan for better hospital-based services that will serve and meet the acute care health needs of the population of the Durham Region in the coming years. This is a process that will take place in phases over the next two years.

Master planning is a process that hospitals undertake to think about what they need to be in the future, and how they should get there. The analysis undertaken in this process will help guide Lakeridge Health as it plans for what services it should provide, and how and where they should be provided. An important part of master planning is speaking with the people who use and interact with the hospital – we want to hear from you!

Lakeridge Health is working with management consulting firm, OPTIMUS | SBR, to have conversations and collect ideas to inform the process. As part of this, we are conducting a survey to collect the perspectives of patients, families, members of the public, and health system partners; a separate survey is being conducted to collect ideas from Lakeridge Health staff, as well as a number of in-person meetings with various groups.

Please spend 10-15 minutes to complete this important survey before March 11th, to make sure that your ideas are included in the master planning process. While your participation is encouraged and appreciated, completion of the survey is voluntary and will not influence the care you receive.

Note on Confidentiality: The survey results are private and confidential, which means that the team will not be identifying individuals, but will be aggregating all feedback into themed findings to be included in the master planning process.

Questions: If you have any questions regarding Master Planning at Lakeridge Health, please email buildingforthefuture@lakeridgehealth.on.ca.

If you have any issues with completing the survey, please email lakeridgehealthengagement@optimussbr.com.

We greatly appreciate you contributing your time to this process, and thank you in advance for your participation.
