The Advocacy Committee of the AAPath wants to learn more about what academic labs are doing to publicize the Laboratory Profession. MEDICAL LABORATORY PROFESSIONALS WEEK (LAB WEEK) 2025 (April 20-26) is our opportunity to hear from you! You can help inform the AAPath what member institutions are doing to Make Some Noise. This can be for promotional and recruitment activities you have been conducting over the past year, but we also want to hear about the great activities you are planning for LAB WEEK 2025. We are eager to hear about your creativity and approaches, from social media campaigns to department tours to special events. The AAPath invites all member institutions to use the occasion of LAB WEEK 2025 to tell us your stories of how you are reaching out to schools to publicize and recruit into the Laboratory Profession. The need is like never before to communicate with students in middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities, to make them aware of the important work and career opportunities that await in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. To any community – and in any language (!) – tell us how you are celebrating LAB WEEK 2025!

Please submit a brief summary of any or all of your ongoing publicity and recruiting activities, and your LAB WEEK 2025 activities, on the form below. This site will remain open through April 30, 2025. We will compile all the information and share with the AAPath community in some manner, such as resources/links on a webpage or perhaps during a virtual event, both to share and to lay our future plans for promoting our profession.
