Research/Case Reports
Abstracts in this category should describe completed or in-progress, clinical or non-clinical, original investigations. If the project involves human subjects, approval from appropriate institutional review board (IRB) as human subjects research or quality improvement should be documented. Research posters should primarily focus on methods and results (with brief introduction, conclusions, and references). Case reports or case series should describe unique or novel use of medication therapy or drug effects. They should present de-identified information describing the clinical course(s), treatment(s), and outcomes for a patient or small group of patients. Abstracts in this category should be structured using standard headings (introduction, methods, results, conclusions).

Informational/Educational
Informational abstracts should describe preliminary, forward-thinking pharmacy-related initiatives, such as development of new clinical services, practice models, or educational activities, that do not yet have outcomes data or only have minimal results. Educational abstract may describe synthesized information a topic meant purely to educate audience participants. Educational submissions must be based on the highest quality evidence available, current and up-to-date, with personal opinions minimized, and potential conflicts of interest clearly noted. The presented project or information should NOT meet the definition of human subjects research. The submitted abstracts in this category should be unstructured and highlight the key points through the poster and verbal discussion.

Students, residents, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are invited and encouraged to participate.

In addition, abstract applications received that are incomplete will be not be reviewed.
