Local Planning Strategy Review

Local planning strategies establish the planning framework for local governments, and provide the strategic basis for local planning schemes.

They set out the local government’s objectives for future land use planning and development, and includes a broad framework by which to pursue those objectives.

A Local Planning Strategy addresses the social, environmental, resource management and economic factors that affect, and are affected by, land use and development.
