LFC Community - Application

Mission of LFC Community:
“Developing an inclusive continuum of civic leaders engaged in the advancement of the quality of life in Franklin County.”

Participants are taken through a nine-month course where they learn about leadership and their community, working on a nonprofit group community service project concurrently with monthly sessions.

LFCC students can expect:
· Networking  with influential community leaders, new friendships and working relationships with diverse members of the community.
· Learning in group dynamics, team leadership and professional & personal growth.
· Exposure to  the expectations and skills required of effective volunteers and corporate board members.
· Knowledge and sensitivity about people, systems, assets and problems of the community. 

Leadership Franklin County Community is a tuition based program where students are selected through a competitive application and interview process.  Applications must be submitted for consideration by May 12, 2023. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling schedule starting in Spring 2023, based on application date submission. All applicants will be notified of their status by mid June with sessions beginning in September 2023.

* 13. The "Economic Development in Franklin County" session typically includes a tour at Letterkenny Army Depot. The U.S. Army now requires LFC  to submit the names and social security numbers and potentially other information of everyone on the tour before we will be allowed on the Depot. Please indicate below that you understand that if you are accepted into the program, you will have to provide your social security number in order to tour Letterkenny Army Depot.

TUITION
LFC Community program tuition is $1500 which includes program materials, session lunches/snacks and helps cover operating costs such as session room rental fees.  Tuition will be billed no later than July 17, 2023 and full payment is due by September 8, 2023.

If you withdraw from the course for any reason 15 days or more prior to the September retreat date, an 85% tuition refund will be issued assuming no other candidate from the sponsoring company is recommended/accepted. Replacement candidates will be approved based their application and a committee interview up to 15 days prior to the retreat date.  No tuition will be reimbursed (full or partial) for the failure of accepted student completion of the course for any reason, after the 15 days prior to the September retreat date has passed.

SCHOLARSHIPS
There is a limited number of scholarships available - please note below if you want to be considered for a scholarship.  Selected students will be alerted by early August and scholarship winner(s) will be known at that time.
