Leaving Certificate 2026 Saturday afternoon Russian Online Class

Information required for registration

This class is open to incoming 5th year students only, i.e. students who will sit the Leaving Certificate exams in 2026. Students may apply if:
- they attend a school in Ireland,
- they cannot access Russian language classes within their own school curriculum,

- they do not live within a reasonable distance of the in-person Saturday classes in Russian provided by PPLI in Galway City or Co. Dublin

Students should have an existing knowledge of Russian that is sufficient to prepare for the Leaving Certificate examination. This Leaving Certificate examination is broadly aligned to B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference. The class is being offered to students as a full 180 hour course for those who require tuition to reach the standards for Leaving Certificate preparation.

Classes will commence if minimum student numbers are achieved. They will be held on Saturday afternoons. Further details, once a place has been confirmed, will be available in August.
Classes are funded by the Department of Education. There is no tuition fee for students to attend.

Classes are three hours long and take place on Saturday afternoons. Students are required to attend and to have their cameras switched on for the full duration of each lesson. Three unexplained absences within a term will preclude further participation in the course.
