Important FAQs
Please review this section prior to submitting your application.

The Fanconi Anemia Research Fund may provide support to FA patients who wish to participate in clinical trials relating to Fanconi anemia. When funds are available, FARF shall offer scholarships for families to defray all or part of the reasonable transportation, meal, and lodging costs associated with participating in a trial. Funds are issued to awarded recipients as a reimbursement following confirmed participation in the trial. Should there be a need for scholarship funds prior to making travel arrangements, please notify us in the additional comments section. Please review the reimbursement policy and process here

It is the responsibility of the applicant to research and estimate the costs of airfare, lodging, ground transport, and total assistance required. Incomplete/inaccurate information may lead to a greater chance of a partial scholarship award.

How many travelers will the scholarship cover?

Travel assistance may cover the person with FA and one primary guardian, caregiver, or support person, although exceptions to include additional travelers may be considered. Need for additional travelers should be clearly stated within the application.

Do NOT book travel prior to acceptance by the clinical trial program and being notified by FARF that your travel scholarship application has been approved.
