GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Always Giving Back Foundation (AGBFD) is pleased to announce the AGB Scholars' 2021 application. AGBFD is passionate about removing barriers to educational access and preparing our young people of color for future employment or internships.  **PLEASE NOTE YOU CAN ONLY APPLY TO ONE SCHOLARSHIP**

This year, we will award at least FIVE qualified students with $2,000 scholarships. The awards may be used for post-secondary educational expenses at any two-year college or four-year college or university.

**PLEASE NOTE:
This year we have expanded our resources and are able to offer the scholarship recipients an all-expense paid professional digital employment portfolio that will prepare them for college internships and employment. Recipients will be required to attend 2 of the 3 following sessions:

One-day summer resume writing session, our
One-day professional head shots session
One-day LinkedIn session. Dates will be provided.

To complete this application, be prepared to share your accomplishments, complete a short essay, and provide the name of one recommender.

A. Nia Griffin Scholarship-Eligible students must have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher and have diverse learning needs.

B. John H. Griffin, III scholarship-Eligible students must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA and indicate a significant need.

C. Geneva Stringer Scholarship-Eligible students must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA and be a 1st generation college student.

D. Najia Griffin Scholarship- Eligible students must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA and be a student athlete in high school.

E. Jibril Griffin Scholarship-Eligible students must have a minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA and have shown an interest in technology or engineering.

APPLICATION DEADLINE:
A complete application and supporting documents must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Friday, April 30th. 

NOTIFICATION:
Applicants will be notified of their selection as a semi-finalist  
by May 7th.

Make sure that you have transcripts and a letter of recommendation ready to upload as you cannot save the application and come back to it later.
