The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) is seeking your views on the initial draft of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards (third edition).

The Commission creates standards to support everyone in Australia to get high-quality care and is responsible for the NSQHS Standards, which apply to public, private and day hospitals. The Standards are updated every 10 years, and the third edition is now out for feedback.

This survey asks about your thoughts on improving healthcare in hospitals and may involve writing about your experiences and concerns with health care.

  • Review the Standards (reading time: 70 minutes) or the Patient and Consumer Requirements summary (reading time: 27 minutes).
  • The survey takes around 20 minutes to complete.
  • All questions are optional. You can skip any you don’t want to answer.
  • You can stop and start again later if you use the same device.
  • The survey will close on 25 September 2026.
  • Please share the survey link with others who might be interested.
