APS SCHOOL CALENDAR SURVEY

The purpose of this survey is to collect public input on the 2019-2020, 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Atlanta Public Schools proposed calendar options. 

There are many factors that go into developing the calendar, state testing, holidays, balancing the semesters, etc. Please understand the feedback collected through this survey will be taken into consideration and will be used to assist APS Administration in making a final recommendation to the Atlanta Board of Education.

CALENDAR OPTION A:
  • The first day of school on the first business day (Monday - Friday) of August
  • Both October and February have a week-long break
  • A week off in November for Thanksgiving
  • Two weeks off for Winter Holiday Break
  • A week for Spring Break the first full week of April
  • The last day of school before Memorial Day


CALENDAR OPTION B:
  • The first day of school on the Monday of the second full week in August
  • Both October and February have a long 4-day weekend
  • A week off in November for Thanksgiving
  • Two weeks off for Winter Holiday Break
  • A week for Spring Break the first full week of April
  • The last day of school before Memorial Day


CALENDAR OPTION C:
  • The first day of school on the first Wednesday of August
  • Both October and February have a long 4-day weekend
  • A week off in November for Thanksgiving
