Introduction

The application is due February  2, 2023. Ambassador appointments will be announced by Friday, February 24, 2023. Application questions should be sent to the Ambassador Program Coordinator, BreeBarnettDreyfuss@gmail.com.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Attend in-person regional retreat (April/May 2023 - date TBD)
  • Help facilitate the 2023 regional virtual summit (summer 2023 - date TBD)
  • Help support ~60 physics teachers and prepare them to use STEP UP materials in their classrooms.
  • Meet regularly with Regional Coordinator (RC) (starting Spring 2023) to reflect on their activities, lesson implementation and impact.
As a STEP UP Ambassador you will receive up to $3000 compensation for your work, up to 60 hours and travel, from Spring 2023 to Spring 2024. You will be publicly recognized for your role in empowering young women through physics.
